MP4Converter's DVD to iPod  (for Mac)  is a very good and quite powerful conversion package. It's new on the market, but it's produced by an experienced software company.

This is a one-step package and therefore it's quite fast.

The program is very easy to operate, as it takes just a few clicks to convert a DVD to iPod format. Its preview display enables you to watch the entire process.

This program is full featured. It is high-speed, single-step and easy to use. If you're a beginner, you can go with the defaults, and require just a few clicks to convert an entire DVD. If you're a bit more advanced, you can select target subtitles (such as English or French), and select target audio tracks, adjust the aspect ratio, resize the picture to fit the entire iPod screen, and adjust the output quality.

In our tests, output quality was excellent, so all in all, this looks like a very good package, certainly the best we've seen since Roxio's Popcorn2.

iMP4Converter's DVD to iPod  (for Mac) is easy to operate if you just go with the default settings, yet for the more experienced, it offers a number of options. Below, you see the main interface.

In the screen shown in Figure 1, you specify your input files and output files, specify your options (you can go with the default values if you wish), then click on Encode, sit back and watch the drama unfold on the screen in the lower right as the movie is being converted to iPod format.
